Passing the Banner
Lions, Lionesses and guests wait in anticipation to be told that they can go up to the buffet for the mealYea. Each year, District 14-D holds “Passing of the Banner”.  At this event the Immediate Past District Governor’s club (Intercourse Lions Club) “Passes” a District Banner to the new District Governor’s Club (Mountville Lions Club). This signifies the “Passing of the Torch” from one District Governor to another. This Banner is then displayed at all clubs’ meetings to represent the current governor when he or she can not be at a meeting due to his responsibilities.
