District Governor Steve Benedict
We are the Lions, Lionesses and Leos of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties of Pennsylvania, USA. Our District is comprised of 50 Lions Clubs, 7 Lioness Clubs and 9 Leo Clubs with over 1800 members. Our mission is to serve the needs of others, especially the blind and visually impaired. We are chartered by Lions Clubs International, the world's largest service organization in the world with clubs in 200 countries or geographic areas with over 1.3 million members. Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Super Steve!
Strange visitor from another planet (Ohio) who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. Super Steve--defender of law and order, champion of equal rights, valiant, courageous fighter against the forces of hate and prejudice, who, disguised as Steve Benedict, mild-mannered District Governor for the great 14D, fights a never-ending battle for truth, justice and Lionism.
At the District’s Breakfast to honor its Melvin Jones and PA Fellows, Past Council Chairperson, Brian McCarl, was surprised when District Governor Steve was introduced as District 14-D Super Hero.
